1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Dnyantra Tech Private Limited ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") concerning your use of the SecretVault application ("App").

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

3. License Grant

3.1 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the App on macOS devices that you own or control
• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Use the App on multiple macOS devices associated with the same Apple ID used for purchase

3.2 License Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App (except as permitted by law)
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Rent, lease, loan, resell, or distribute the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App

4. Purchase and Payment

4.1 Pricing

• SecretVault is available for a one-time purchase of $10.00 USD (or equivalent in your local currency)
• Price is subject to change without notice, but will not affect existing purchases
• All payments are processed through the Apple App Store

4.2 No Subscriptions

• SecretVault is a one-time purchase with no recurring fees
• You own your license forever once purchased
• All future updates are included at no additional cost

4.3 Refunds

• All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store
• Refund requests must be made directly to Apple within their refund policy timeframe
• We do not process refunds directly
• Apple's refund policy applies: typically 14 days from purchase

5. User Responsibilities

5.1 Master Password

• You are solely responsible for creating and maintaining a secure master password
• You must keep your master password confidential and secure
• CRITICAL: If you lose your master password, your data cannot be recovered by us or anyone else
• We recommend keeping a backup of your master password in a secure physical location

5.2 Data Backup

• You are responsible for backing up your SecretVault database
• Database location: ~/Library/Application Support/SecretVault/
• We recommend regular backups to prevent data loss
• We are not responsible for any data loss

5.3 Lawful Use

• You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes
• You will not use the App to store information related to illegal activities
• You comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership

• SecretVault, including all code, design, graphics, and content, is owned by Dnyantra Tech Private Limited
• All trademarks, service marks, and logos are owned by us or our licensors
• Your license does not grant you any ownership rights

6.2 Your Data

• You retain all rights to data you create or store in SecretVault
• We claim no ownership of your passwords, secrets, or files
• You can export your data at any time

7. Privacy and Data Protection

• Our Privacy Policy (available at privacy.html) describes how we handle information
• All data is stored locally on your device
• We do not collect, store, or transmit your passwords or secrets
• No analytics, telemetry, or tracking

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 No Warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of results

8.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App ($10 USD)
• We are not liable for data loss, even if we've been advised of the possibility
• We are not liable for lost passwords or inability to access your data

8.3 No Recovery Service

• We cannot and will not recover lost master passwords
• We cannot decrypt your data if you lose your master password
• This is by design for your security and privacy
• You acknowledge and accept this limitation

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dnyantra Tech Private Limited, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any data you store in the App

10. Updates and Modifications

10.1 App Updates

• We may release updates, patches, or new versions of the App
• Updates are provided free of charge
• Updates may add, modify, or remove features
• You are not required to install updates, but we recommend doing so
• We may discontinue support for older versions at any time

10.2 Terms Updates

• We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time
• Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date
• Material changes will be communicated through the App or website
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

• You may stop using the App at any time
• Delete the App to terminate this agreement
• Your license terminates upon deletion

11.2 Termination by Us

• We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms
• Termination does not entitle you to a refund
• We may discontinue the App at any time (with or without notice)

11.3 Effect of Termination

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• You must cease all use and delete the App
• Your locally stored data remains accessible until you delete it
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Compatibility and System Requirements

• Operating System: macOS 11.0 or later
• Processor: Apple Silicon or Intel processor
• Disk Space: Minimal (app size plus your database)
• We may update system requirements with new versions
• We are not responsible if your device doesn't meet requirements

13. Export Compliance

• The App uses encryption technology
• You agree to comply with all export control laws and regulations
• You will not export or re-export the App to prohibited countries or persons
• You represent that you are not located in or a national of any prohibited jurisdiction

14. Third-Party Services

• The App does not integrate with third-party services
• Apple's App Store terms apply to your purchase
• We are not responsible for Apple's services or policies

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India
• Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India

15.2 Dispute Resolution

• Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally

• We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

17. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dnyantra Tech Private Limited regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.

19. Assignment

• You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your license without our written consent
• We may assign these Terms without restriction
